Atlanta, Ga.---The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) announced its 2012 Track and Field Men's and Women's All-Conference Teams that featured six Clark Atlanta University Lady Panthers led by Sophomore Markeisha Woodson named to the first team in the 5000 meters, 10,000 meters and the 3,000 meter Steeplechase. Tabia Wade joined Woodson on the first team for her performance in the Heptathlon this season. Rounding out the second team CAU was Brittany Robinson (1500 meters and 5000 meters) and pole vaulter Ashley Ellis. For the second consecutive year, Ariel Lomax, a business administration major with a 3.76 grade point average and Nekesha Whitaker, criminal justice, with a 3.66 grade point average earned All-Academic honors. The 2012 SIAC track and field championships begins today (4/19) through Saturday, 4/21, B.T. Harvey stadium on the campus of Morehouse College.

Atlanta, Ga.---Clark Atlanta University's pitcher Ashley Brooks has earned the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) East Division Pitcher of the Week honor announced today after recording her first shutout over the weekend. Brooks , a native of Douglasville, GA, pitched 11 innings in four appearances with 13 strikeouts and just five walks, earning her second weekly honor this season. The 5-foot-10 senior finished the week with a 1-1 record and a save while recording her first shutout of the season in the Panthers 12-0 win over Wesleyan College Sunday.
